A philological study on poisoning of Ampelopsis Radix(ÛÜÖ°)

Abstract
Ampelopsis Radix is in use in oriental medicine. Oriental medical doctors use Ampelopsis Radix for clearing away heat and eliminating toxin(ôèæðú°Ô¸), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms or side effects, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Ampelopsis Radix. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Side effects after taking Ampelopsis Radix mainly are skin rubefaction, itching, dizziness, nausea, and feeling heavy, etc. 2. In order to prevent against poisoning of Ampelopsis Radix, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.
